Why "ATS-safe" is a property of the system
Most template galleries promise per template that a design is "ATS-friendly". Here the promise is structural: every template renders through the same section skeleton, and automated tests assert that no template in the registry can emit a photo, a column or a references line. The portfolio footer on the Professional template is in the document flow, not a fixed region, because parsers skip fixed regions. Guardrails can silence warnings, never the parsing clamps.
What every template carries
- Standard headings — Summary, Experience, Education, Skills — with optional Key Achievements, Projects, Certifications, Coursework and your own custom sections, in an order you control.
- Real bullet lists, no italics, one consistent bullet punctuation, and a contact line whose separators are literal text so Word and parsers keep them.
- Word (.doc) and PDF export of the same layout, and a version history you can preview without restoring.

What makes a template ATS-safe?

Can I switch templates after writing my resume?

Yes. Every template exports to Word (.doc) through a translation that keeps the layout — Word has no flexbox, so the export is built for it rather than pasted raw — and to PDF with the same appearance.
Is there a two-column or creative template?
No, on purpose. Two-column and graphic layouts are the designs applicant tracking systems most often misread. If you need a portfolio, the Professional template adds your portfolio URL in the document flow, and TrinityTalent has a separate portfolio feature.
